Sunrise Magic
This new apple variety was developed in Washington and is a cross between Splendour and Gala. The apple has an attractive pinkish-red blush with conspicuous lenticels. Consumers describe it as sweet with moderate acidity, making it perfect for fresh eating. The apple is harvested about a week after Cosmic Crisp, during Red Delicious season, and stores exceptionally well.
Chehalis
This old favorite was discovered north of Chehalis WA in 1937. This is a large, sweet yellow apple that resembles Golden Delicious in looks and flavor but it is crispier and larger. This is a reliable, highly productive variety well suited for organic growers; it is highly resistant to scab and has good mildew resistance. Fruit ripens in September. Great for fresh eating and for baking and saucing.
Gravenstein
The Gravenstein apple - which has been in cultivation for at least 350 years - is one of the earliest apples to ripen in the Northern Hemisphere each year. It is ready to harvest as early as late July and early August, a good month or two ahead of most fall-harvest apples. Considered one of the best all-around apples, the Gravenstein has a crisp, slightly acid, tart-sweet flavor and is juicy with a full apple aroma. It is not only tasty for eating out of hand but is excellent for baking and cooking. Use the Gravenstein to make the season’s first apple pies, sauce, and cider. But, it does need to be used up within 2 or 3 weeks because they do not store in their fresh state over a long period of time.

Cosmic Crisp®, Apple (Semi-Dwarf)
A new and popular variety, Cosmic Crisp® is a cross between Enterprise and Honeycrisp apple varieties. It was developed by Bruce Barrit and Kate Evans at WSU's Tree Fruit Research and Extension Center in Wenatchee, Washington. After two decades of work, this remarkable variety was finally released to the public in 2019. The goal of the project was to produce an apple that embodies the best of both its parents with an emphesis on texture, flavor and long storage capabilities - and Cosmic Crisp® does not disappoint! It is juicy and crispy, just like Honeycrisp, and yet has great storage capabilities like Enterprise. The fruit is slow to brown when sliced and has excellent flavor with a very nice balance of sweet and tart.
Pollinator required - must plant near a compatible variety of apple for fruit production.
Please Note: Cosmic Crisp® is a patented variety that requires a special license to propagate and is not allowed to be sold outside of Washington state at this time. Cosmic Crisp® is a traditionally bred apple variety and is non-GMO as are all our plant cultivars.
Dolgo, Crabapple (Semi-Dwarf)
Crabapples make excellent pollinators for other apple trees because of their very long bloom time. Dolgo crabapple is no exception, but in addition to it's pollination abilities Dolgo is also an abundant producer of incredibly tasty, and exceptionally large fruit. These fruits are bright red colored on the outside with a creamy white flesh on the inside and measure about 1-1.5" in size. The flavor is a refreshing and delightful sweet/tart - almost like a sugar-coated cranberry- with a firm texture! They are perfect for making into gorgeous rose-colored jelly or can also be used as a marinade for meat, or made into sauces, chutney or sorbets. If you can't get around to processing the fruit, it can also be left for the birds and/or deer who relish the tasty little red treats.
Originally from Kazakhstan, the Dolgo crabapple tree is one of the hardiest available. It’s been shown to withstand cold to least -40 degrees F. It’s also incredibly disease-resistant. The trees bloom over an extended period, which makes them an excellent pollinator for diverse orchards.
Pollinator required - must plant near a compatible variety of apple for fruit production. Dolgo is compatible with most apple varieties.

Best used for fresh eating and are also good in baked goods, salads, and sauces.
Zestar!® apples are NOT self-fertile and should be planted with a different variety of early blooming apple tree. I could not find a pollination chart for this particular variety, but there is pollination information for it here on Orange Pippin Fruit Tree's website. I hope this helps.
